		FAQ and Policies The most Frequently asked Question is... Do we paint Your furniture? The answer is Yes!!! People bring and send us their furniture all the time for us to paint to their specifications!!! We can change that hand-me-down into a Treasured Family Heirloom. We hope that these policies will answer most of your other questions... Please note all items are individually handcrafted, so ordered items may vary slightly from items pictured. Most items are painted freehand and every attempt is made to duplicate items pictured. Quilt patterns vary from time to time as we use antique quilts. Please specify dominant color choices when applicable. Email us for special color requests and questions before you order. We can paint anything to match your color sceme. TERMS AND CONDITIONS The seller is The Watermelon Stand a licensed business in the state of Virginia. Owned and operated by the artist Lisa Harris. 1. All sales are final. There are no returns or refunds unless prearranged with seller. Do not send anything back without contacting us first this way we can verify address you are shipping to and we know to look for it!! We do not keep credit card numbers on file if you wish a refund you must supply us with the number again. 2. We will exchange items if you pay for the shipping costs. Every attempt will be made to make you more than happy. 3. Returned items must be shipped insured and signature required. 4. You must notify us via phone or email before you return anything. 5. Orders are confirmed by email with payment options. If you order and do not receive an email from us within 48 hours, please contact us. 6. We try very hard to put the Service back in Customer Service!!! Please email any concerns or questions we will work with you to make you happy!!! Know the packing and shipping charges. We charge only the minimum for packaging some items we have to purchase extra packaging and we may have that included in your charges. 7. We try very hard to make you happy if you cannot pay for your item PLEASE let us know ASAP so we can resell it. Usually others are anxiously waiting. 8. Some furniture may take a long time to recieve if we have to hunt for the piece before we paint it. We will tell you this when you order. Some items may take three to six weeks for delivery. Every attempt will be made to fill orders sooner. 9. Internet paid orders are bumped ahead of any unpaid orders. 10. Items are shipped insured so notify us immediately if an item is broken or damaged we will help you file a claim and make every effort to replace the item. METHODS OF PAYMENT 1. We request payment be received by us within 10 days from time of order. You may pay thru our website with a credit card. Or you can phone your info. Phone number will only be given out if you tell us this is your preferred method of payment. Email us! 3. We accept payments via PayPal. Our account is LisaATwatermelonstandDOTcom. 4. If you have special requests and wish to pay thru website but the shipping comes up wrong for multiple items or you want a larger item or something tell us and we can set up a special order emabling you to pay for it throught the website. 5. We accept money orders, and for now personal checks, thru mail please tell us you wish this method so we may send you our mailing address. 6. We accept personal checks. However you will have to pay our bank fees if it is returned. PACKING, SHIPPING AND VIRGINIA SALES TAX 1. We will help arrange shipping, crating, and packaging. Third party vendors whose businesses primary function is performing these tasks usually accomplish these functions. However, we neither accept any responsibility for their performance, nor accept any responsibility for the merchandise being damaged after it leaves our location. If the product does get damaged in route to you, we will aid you with handling the damage claim with the shipper. 2. Insurance is not available for used including Antique items shipped via freightliners. 3. Insurance is available for used items shipped with FedEx or UPS at an additional fee but if the item is damaged it may take up to 120 days to resolve a claim. 4. If the item is shipped within Virginia or you pick it up at our location in Virginia, 4.5% Virginia sales tax will be charged. But if you pick up you will save on shipping!!! 5. Canadian and International Buyers must pay actual shipping plus any packaging costs. 6. VIRGINIA and INDIANA residents must pay applicable sales taxes. CONDITIONS OF MERCHANDISE We freehand decorative paint vintage, old, and antique furniture and small items. We do not guarantee the condition of these items. Although we take the utmost care to ensure the structure is sturdy. Often times these items have endured many years of use and were made much better than anything you buy today. These items have been well loved and used and have that extra special Shabby Chic feel. Some items contain age marks antiquing coloration and chips and cracks. Other items we have distressed to add to their character. This is the look most popular at this time. Many furniture items can be substituted for new unfinished furniture painted to your specifications, at that time we will negotiate different pricing. If you have a vintage or new unfinished item you wish to send us we will paint it to your specifications. People send us and bring us their furniture and small items all the time.
